Happy -Holidays- Christmas!

I am so sick of people saying Happy Holidays just because they don't want to say "Merry Christmas." Come on people, that is just ridiculous and i seriously don't know why they would do that. Oh yeah, thats right because "it offends the non-Christians when you say Christmas" well what about Christians, did they ever think WE might be offended because they DON'T say Merry Christmas??

note that on the coke bottle it says "HOLIDAY 2009" (But the new cans say Holiday 2010) 

WHAT come on people that is reaching a new low. (:

ok, that is all i have to say about that. Thanks for reading me take some anger out of my steam engine :)

well its Christmas time and its snowing, and moms putting up the tree and decor, so im really in the Christmas spirit! and trying to get myself to make a few things. Right now, i'm drooling over these blog creations, over at Katie So Happy. She realllly has a knack for making things. Like these:

TWO ONEsies.

So, I have decided that i am no longer going to show you my tutorials or things i've made, but this one is a farewell. i need your comment opinions on what i should do to make ya'll like my blog!!

Sooooo, I have been making more stuff, and ya'll still don't comment..sniff sniff, but i can live with that! So, I will continue to post 'making stuff' and 'fixing clothes' until ya'll comment/suggest otherwise. onward:

eek. before. and its saying something when it looks good like THIS. in real life, this thing is..um...strange.

so i began chopping off about 2 inches of length.

but the raw edges just won't do, so hemming it is.

and then hemmed. which color of thread did i use??? A, B, or C?

ANSWER: C

ooh, and did i mention that i love this polyester blend fabric? 

anywho, this is the NEW hemmed skirt, and it looked well, boring so i decided to do something to 'spice it up'

SO embroidery it is! I went with something cute, which you will find out soon.

AN UMBRELLA!!!! YAY! Prefect for today, which was rainy and made my hair all frizzy and fuzzy..gross, well i'm getting off track, so back to the main event, the AFTER PHOTO!!

Yay for short(er) skirt!! and although i wasnt pleased how the umbrella wasnt very visible, i was pleased with the outcome, and it looks even better tucked in, but my black shirt was visible through the light poly-blend fabri...ok, now i'm way off topic. :)

All The Things I've Made.

So all bodies, its been awhile since i've blogged to you, and i'm not sure whether or not you care, but i thought i'd update for the sake of amusing myself.

I've been a busy bee with school starting, and my amazing, creative sister in law stocking me up on some fixer-upper projects (i'm talking clothes, not homes..just clarifying) soooo i have been oh so inspired by this amazing blog, which i believe you should check out!! www.vanessachristensen.com

yes yes yes, they had POCKETS! I love pockets, and these were deep enough to swim in!

happiness never hurts.

I've been very happy today, and the past week. Though I had to say farewell to Rebekah on Monady so she can learn things and chat it up with brett harris. And supper was good, courtesy of Summer, Ben, and well it doesnt hurt to throw Oscar in there, though he had nothing to do with preparing the food, he did make for some adorable and humorous entertainment.

Tuesday:
 Beth and I went out to pick blueberries, which ended with me coming home with a bag of fun fabrics, and a bucket of blueberries.
I have been able to watch "The Last Song" with my besties anna, olivia, and emily. It had 'perfect movie night' written all over.  Popcorn, Drumsticks (ice cream) bean bag, tears, the works. :) It was amazing, both movie and night.

Wednesday:
Wednesday, it all started to kick in. rebekah was/is gone. and she's really not gone for just a week. This made the atmosphere oh so gloomy, but we still stayed happy because aaron and beth invited us over for a spaghetti dinner, which was followed by a pleasent walk around their neighborhood (but i didnt see a cable guy or mail carrier in the neighborhood i.e "people in our neighborhood-seasame street" ) anywho, we came home and drank/ate root beer floats. Then, we went home, watched 'Psych' which spelled out, i now realize has no vowels. then, we had the joy of watching 'wall.e' i say 'joy' in sarcasm, because this movie was absolutely oh whats the word...lame. Nathan, after waking up at the end apologized to us saying 'sorry, i didnt realize in the theater that this was so lame." I agree with nathan. though i had the fortune to not see it in theaters. yes. it was that bad.

Thursday:
Well, Thursday, Mother and Father got home and i was oh so glad. actually i was asleep when they arrived because it was 2:00 AM. Oh, how i feel for them. Anyways, we tried to get back into the routine of normal things, but it wasn't easy for me. :( oh, rebekah, you're so missed here.

Friday:
Olivia leaves for Disney World. sniff sniff.
Mom, Anna, and me went to the delicious Charley's and ate some yummy subs. Then we went up to Old Navy, where Anna Kaye walked out with a bag of clothing. lucky. oh well, i cant complain, Mom got me some shirts and jeans a few weeks back, so i have decided to stay content with them:)

Saturday:
TODAY! Today, we went to the IDS Shop, aka "Pop Shop" (Oscar lingo) and ate Smokin O's and McDonalds Sweet Iced Tea with Summer, Ben, and Oscar. It was southernly delicious. Yes, i know southernly isnt a word, but hey...i can make up a word if i want to:)

Sunday:
Hasnt happened yet. Will Fill ya'll in tomorrow.


btw, i know none of you care about my week, but this is mainly to keep my i-will-update-my-blog-regularly promise i made to rebekah before she left.
